Learning objective
Students will be able to recognize and print the letter Ss, as well as determine if a word has an Ss sound.
Introduction
To reveal the guide for the lesson, students will move all words with Rr's to their respective words. They will review how to write the letter Rr. Students will drag S to make Santiago the Sloth's name.
Instruction
Santiago the Sloth will have Max demonstrate how to write the letter Ss. Students will then practice writing uppercase and lowercase Ss on the board and on their own paper. Two students can race to complete a puzzle that makes the letter Ss.
Students will then practice and pronounce Ss sounds. They will get to name as many words that start with the Ss as they can think of! They’ll also get to use their letter Ss knowledge to complete a fun activity that will lead Santiago the Sloth back to his tree.
