This lesson will help students learn how to recognize and print the letter Cc. Students follow Carla the Cat through the lesson.

Learning objective
Students will be able to recognize and print the letter Cc, as well as determine if a word has a Cc sound.
Introduction
Students are asked to review the letter Bb and drag the Bb's to the "B-hive." By doing so they reveal Carla the Cat, their guide for the letter Cc. Students are then asked to write the upper and lowercase Bb. You may choose to have students do this on their own sheets of paper or to ask a few students to come to the board to demonstrate writing the letter.
Instruction
Have students help Carla spell her name by dragging the C. Carla will then ask her assistant, Max, to write the letter Cc in the air. Have students do this along with Max. Have them practice a few times. Students will then practice writing uppercase and lowercase Ll on the board and on their own paper. Two students can complete a puzzle that shows Carla's snack.
Students will then practice and pronounce Cc sounds. Ask students if they can determine which letter belongs at the start of each of the given words. Have the class determine if they need an uppercase or lowercase Cc. How do they decide? Students will then practice identifying Cc sounds in words. Have students help Carla find her kitten by using words that have the letter C in them to complete a maze.
Quiz
Review the letter Cc with 10 questions on identifying the letter Cc. They must do so by clicking the letter Cc within words, within sentences, and by only selecting the upper or lowercase Cc. They are then asked to identify if the given word has a Cc.
Closing
Students will review how to write the letter Cc and then decorate the word "cab."
