In this lesson, students will learn about chronological order. They will then sequence common events that happen.
Learning objective
Students will be able to put events into the order that they happened.
Introduction
Students will review the concept of time. Then they will be introduced to “change over time” (i.e. seasons, time, family, etc.)
Instruction
Students will learn about things that change and what it means to put things into the order in which they happened (chronological order).To check understanding, students will do an activity to identify things that change over time. Then students and their teacher(s) will work together to complete a sequencing activity.
Quiz
Review sequencing events with 5 ordering questions and 5 open-ended questions.
Closing
Students will properly sequence the events which transpired before they got to school that morning.
