Learning Objective

Introduction

The lesson begins by reviewing different types of weather, like rainy, snowy, and stormy. Students will then look at a picture and write the type of weather they see. Then, students match a picture with the correct weather. Finally, students decide on the weather for today.

Instruction

Students learn how the clothes they wear are affected by the weather, which can change every day. Students also learn how the activities they do are also impacted by the daily weather. For example, you may not be able to play outside if it starts to rain. Students then circle all clothes and activities that would be appropriate for sunny weather. Next, they drag all the clothes and items needed for a rainy day. Repeat this for different types of weather.

Quiz

Students respond to ten questions consisting of true or false and multiple-choice questions. Students look at a picture and decide what type of weather they see. They also choose the best activities and clothes for different types of weather.

Closing

To conclude, students review what they learned. Finally, they write down their favorite type of weather and draw a picture of what they would like to do in that weather, wearing appropriate clothing.
