In this lesson, students will learn about basic timelines and create their personal histories.
Learning objective
Students will be able to create and share a timeline of events that happened in their lives.
Introduction
Students will be introduced to a basic timeline and its purpose and will review the difference between past and present.
Instruction
Students will learn more about timelines and create timelines as a class to depict events as they occur in familiar stories. To check understanding, students will do a drag and drop activity to correctly put events in order on a timeline. Then students and their teacher(s) will work together to build a timeline that represents the past events in their school year together.
