The Buddy Picker uses images of fun monsters or various objects to represent the names of students. These images give a playful spin to selecting groups or partners. When a student selects an image, the name of the student appears and they become your partner/buddy/group member. You can set the group sizes in the settings.
Explanation
When you open the tool, the settings screen automatically appears. From there, you can select the groups from which you want to select student names. You will also be able to select the group size you want by determining how many students are allowed in each group. Choose to have student names represented by monsters or by objects. Click the save button to begin.
Each group is formed by one student whose name you’ll see at the top of the screen. This student goes to the board and selects an image. The image then disappears and reveals the name of their buddy/group member. The student continues selecting images until the group is complete. The board will then display the name of the next student who should come to the board to form their group. This continues until all of the images (and students) have been selected and the groups are complete.
When all groups have been completed, an overview of the created groups is shown automatically. You may also check the group list at any time by selecting the “Show groups” button in the top left.
