In this lesson, students will learn about plastic-saving habits to help the environment.

Students will be able to name several things they can personally do to reduce their plastic use.

Introduction

Review concepts from the lesson, Learning to save plastic. Students will look around themselves and name as many things made of plastic as they can. They will also tell how to recycle special plastics, such as plastics with food or liquid and plastic bags.

Instruction

Students will tell how to recycle special plastics, such as plastics with food or liquid and plastic bags. They will also sort between plastic-saving and plastic-wasting habits. Students will pledge to do 4 plastic-saving habits of their choice. They will also "clean the ocean" by "throwing away the plastic waste." Students will apply their knowledge of plastic-saving to a party scenario. They will also be presented with other scenarios where they help characters save plastic.

Closing
