Students will learn about forces, motion, and the directions of objects based on the forces applied to them. The forces students will learn about include push, pull, and gravity. Students will learn that forces applied will cause an object to move, and the forces applied also help determine the direction of the object’s motion. Students will learn that they can predict the direction and changes in direction of an object. To practice these skills, students will participate in various activities, including watching videos about forces and discussing the concepts afterward, sorting forces by type, participating in a whole class activity about forces and changes in the direction of motion, and predicting the change in direction of an object in a real-life scenario.
