In this lesson, students will learn how to utilize analog clocks to tell time to the nearest minute. The lesson includes an interactive video about telling time to the nearest minute and several engaging activities in which students apply the new information they learned.

Learning Objective
Students will be able to properly tell and write time to the nearest minute using analog clocks.
Introduction
Have students watch a video about telling time to the nearest minute. Then, have students discuss their answers to a couple of questions with one another before diving into the lesson.
Instruction
Begin the lesson by reviewing with students how analog clocks operate. Explain that an analog clock has 60 tick marks to represent each minute. Have students apply their knowledge by practicing with several word problems. Guide students in reading different analog clocks and have them listen to them several times and adjust each clock to show the correct time. Walk students through a Halloween timeline activity in which they read each activity and time and answer questions about them! Students then take turns with their classmates reading and pronouncing times on an interactive clock tool.
Quiz
Students respond to ten multiple-choice questions in which they will determine the correct time on each clock.
Closing
Students listen to several different times. Then, they adjust each clock to display the time that they hear.
