Use the spotlight to have students search on your interactive whiteboard. The spotlight darkens the entire page except for the illuminated portion. Drag or resize the spotlight and find what's hidden on the page.
Explanation
When you open this tool, the entire page is covered in shadow. The spotlight circle in the middle shows a small portion of the page. Use the two icons on either side of the circle to manipulate the spotlight. The hand icon moves the circle around the page and the arrows resize the circle. Click the red trash can in the top right corner of the page to remove the spotlight from the page.
Teaching tips
Use the spotlight as a building block for creating interactive lessons. Fill a page with various illustrations, objects, shapes, colors, letters, numbers, or anything else and have students go and explore what they can find.
