With Gynzy’s morning routine, students can practice their calendar skills, count the days of the year, and talk about the current weather and season. There are 4 different activities: Morning Greetings, Calendar, Days in School chart, and Weather.
For Morning Greetings, have students pick the way they’d like to be greeted. Remove the cover for more ways. This is an exciting way for students to start the day!
In the Calendar activity, students will drag the month and date to the calendar. They can also drag the specials to the current day, as well as holidays. Feel free to switch out the icons with some of your own.
The Days in School chart has translucent covers on each of the days. Remove the pink covers to track how many days you’ve been in school. The numbers are arranged in rows of 10, so students can visualize how many days until 100 days. This can also help them develop number sense. Students will also be able to track the days in ten frames to 100. They can drag base ten blocks to show the number of days.
For the Weather chart, students will tell the season and turn the spinner to track the current weather outside. They can then graph the weather in the bar graph.
